Ridgewood Rabbits and Cages has a small rabbitry in Nanoose Bay, on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
We started raising Lionhead's in the spring of 2006, purchasing our first 4 (2 bucks, 2 does) from Theresa Mueller of Prideland's Rabbitry. Last summer we purchased another doe and this past summer we purchased 2 more bucks and one doe, all from Theresa.
Our preferance is the Tort variety and we are going to concentrate on that colour, striving to improve body and mane. We usually have show and pet stock available, so please email us with what you are looking for.
In the Fall of 2007 we introduced Holland Lops into the Rabbitry, purchasing our first pair from L&R Hollands. Our Holland herd is growing nicely, and we have new additions from Snowberry Hollands, Snowy's, and Wildwood's.
In the Summer of 2008 we decided to purchase Electric Bunny's last trio of Dwarf Hotots to help her keep her line going. We are just starting to have our first litter of Hotots as of February 2009.
We are also building rabbit cages and carriers, as well as cavy cages and carriers. We use top quality materials, and with a lifetime of experience working with metal, you can be assured that they are made with skill and care so your purchases will last!
